If you have a child that is 18 or over and they're not working or in college or not making more than $4,000.00 per year then yes you can claim the over 18 year old as a dependent on your tax return.
If your over 18 year old child is in college or is making over $4,000.00 then you can't claim the over 18 year old on your tax return as a dependent.
