Diapers for newborns should be changed on average of every 2 hours although some may need changed sooner or if they poop.
For babies above 1 year old and for 2 year olds they should have a diaper change every 2 hours to 3 hours or when the diaper is full which is usually every 3 hours.
For a child above 2 and 3 they usually need a diaper change every 3 and 1/2 hours to 4 hours and some may go as long as 5 to 6 hours between diaper changes.
At night you can leave the wet diaper or poopy diaper on the kid but if it's a newborn it's best to change the poopy diaper in the night.
Most 2 year olds have at least 3 to 4 wet diapers per day.
Although it's normal for a 2 year old to only have 2 to 3 wet diapers per day which is okay.
Most toddlers urinate four to eight times each day, usually about every two hours or so.
Most toddlers have one or two bowel movements each day, some have three, and others skip a day or two in between movements.
Most children urinate within an hour after having a large drink.
Toddlers use on average of 3 to 5 diapers per day although some may use 6 to 7 diapers per day depending on their age.
Babies up to a year old may use 6 to 7 diapers per day while a toddler of ages above 1 to 2 years old may use 4 to 5 diapers per day.
And a toddler of age 3 to 4 years old may only use 3 diapers to 4 diapers per day.
On average a 3 year old uses 3 to 5 diapers per day.
A 3 year old uses on average 3 to 5 diapers per day.
The amount of diapers per day that your 3 year old will use per day depends on how much they drink, how much they eat etc.
The more the 3 year old drinks the more the 3 year old will pee and the more they eat the more the 3 year old will poop.
However some 3 year olds only poop every few days and may go as long as an hour 2 hours without peeing.
My own kids at 3 could sometimes go 4 hours between diaper changes because they wouldn't pee until 2 hours later.
Then again on a few days they would go 3 hours without peeing as they held it in and then peed 3 hours later so they only needed a diaper change every 6 hours.
So they only needed 2 diapers on those days.
But you should have enough diapers on hand to provide your 3 year old with at least 5 diapers per day although having more diapers available is better than not having enough.
As a kid gets older they tend to use less diapers than a younger baby would.
Changing your kids diaper in public is gross but sometimes it needs to be done.
However if you can do so take the kid into a restroom, out into your vehicle or at least cover them up with a towel to prevent others from seeing your kids butt and privates and especially if they pooped nobody wants to see your kids poopy butt.
So cover them up and get the diaper change done quickly without making a big deal about it.
Changing your kids diaper out in the open in public around others is considered rude.
However you can change your kids diaper in public as long as you take the kid away from other people and then cover them up somehow to change their diaper.
Don't just change the kids diaper wherever you are if there's people around.
Such as for example if your at a table eating then don't put your kid on the table to change the diaper as that is gross and unsanitary.
Not everyone thinks it's cute to change your kids diaper in front of them.
Also give the kid some privacy and cover them up.
There have been times where my kids pooped their diaper and I waited until I got home or could at least get into our van away from people to change their diaper.
However if you're someplace such as at a park etc away from others then it's okay to lay the kid down on the ground and change their diaper but if there's people around you should cover the child up with a towel or something to give them some privacy.
