To reset your charging battery unplug the battery from the charger and wait a minute or two.
Then plug the battery back into the charger and it should begin charging again.
If it's a laptop battery you need to reset.
Take out your laptop battery—if it's detachable—then put it back in.
Try turning the laptop on, and if it doesn't start, remove the battery again and hold the power button for 10 seconds to drain the remaining juice from your laptop.
Then, plug in your charging cord and see if your device charges and turns on.
To reset your phones battery.
Use your phone until it powers off on its own.
Switch it back on and wait for it to turn off again.
Connect your phone to a charger and do not switch it on.
Once the phone reaches 100%, turn it on.
Once it reaches 100%, disconnect it from the charger and reboot your phone.
