The cheapest places in California to live in are Woodlake, Arvin, Blythe and Twentynine Palms.
Those are the cheapest places to live in California that I know of. Any place else is likely more expensive and not cheap as far as I know.
California is a pretty expensive place to live but has so many opportunities for employment and has nice weather year round.
