Yes you can use essential oils in a cool mist humidifier but putting the essential oils in a warm mist humidifier is not recommended because the heating of the oil will damage the therapeutic properties of the essential oils.
The essential oils work even better in an actual diffuser made for the essential oils but a cool mist humidifier will work with the essential oils.
