If you don't want to go to the doctor for a prescription ringworm ointment you can get some over the counter ringworm ointment called Lotrimin at Target or other stores and treat the ringworm at home.
If you can't get the ringworm to go away with over the counter ointment you may need to go ahead and get a prescription ointment from the doctor which would be stronger.
And sometimes just about any antifungal cream will cure ringworm.
