House flies don't really only live for 24 hours unless they get killed.

Most house flies live up to 25 days for females and for male house flies they typically live only 15 days.

House flies and other flies help to decompose dead animals and other matter on earth.

Without the house flies feeding off of the dead animals and other matter the stuff would take longer to decompose.

So we could get by without having flies decompose of those things for us but it's much better for the earth if the flies help speed up that decomposition.

Just like mosquitoes are also very important to the ecosystem the flies are also very important so they should not all be killed off although I wish we could do away with them all.

Both flies and mosquitoes are annoying.

Although mosquitoes are very annoying and carry diseases the mosquitoes are really important to the earth and environment.

Mosquitoes provide food for fish and other animals on earth and the mosquito larvae are very important in aquatic ecology.

Many other insects and small fish feed on the mosquitoes as well and the loss of that food source for them would be bad.

Because any animals, fish etc that feed on mosquitoes would suffer without the food source.

Although we could probably get by without mosquitoes if the fish and other animals had other food sources other than mosquitoes.

But it's best to not make mosquitoes go fully extinct although at times we wish they would.

You still should get rid of mosquitoes in your yard or other areas especially around your pond etc.
