You should give your baby gripe water 30 minutes before feeding.

Although you can give your baby gripe water after feeding it's best to give the baby gripe water 30 minutes before you feed the baby so it has time to work in the baby's stomach.

Gripe water takes around 30 minutes to start working once you give your baby the gripe water.

You should give your baby gripe water around 30 minutes before feedings.

If you give the gripe water too soon after feeding the baby may spit up from being too full.

Gripe water helps settle a babies stomach by relieving the gas buildup in the baby's stomach.

The gripe water is a gentle herbal supplement which helps and offers babies relief from gas, general fussiness, hiccups and colic.

Gripe water contains ginger and fennel which are known historically to ease discomfort and nausea caused by gas in the stomach.

Gripe water can and does help with hiccups in baby's.

When your baby is having hiccups you can give them some gripe water and it will safely and effectively ease the hiccups.

Gripe Water does help a baby poop and helps with gas and constipation.

Gripe water does help with constipation in babies.

Gripe water can also help with gas and colic as well.

You can also give your baby some water or fruit juice to help soften your baby's poop and help them get rid of constipation.

It is normal for your baby to have diarrhea and constipation at the same time.

Although most times a baby will have just constipation or just diarrhea but in some cases a baby may experience constipation and then diarrhea which is normal.

However if the diarrhea lasts longer than 24 hours then you should take the baby to urgent care, the hospital or to the doctor as the baby could get dehydrated.

Constipation can usually be treated at home or with advice from your doctor.

If your newborn has diarrhea that lasts for more than 24 hours, you should see a doctor because they may have a bacterial or viral infection.

Take your baby or child to a doctor if the constipation lasts longer than two weeks or is accompanied by:

    Fever.
    Not eating.
    Blood in the stool.
    Abdominal swelling.
    Weight loss.
    Pain during bowel movements.
Part of the intestine coming out of the anus (rectal prolapse)

Constipation and diarrhea may not commonly occur together, but it is possible.

A few different issues can cause this rapid change in bowel patterns.

Managing symptoms may sometimes be enough, such as when a temporary infection or food intolerance has caused constipation after diarrhea.
