Your partners DNA does stay in you after kissing but only for around 1 hour.

When you kiss and exchange Saliva you exchange bacteria and mucus as well as DNA.

The average kiss lasts around 10 seconds.

Although some people's kisses can last 20 seconds or so.

To control your saliva while kissing you should not open your mouth too wide.

Opening your mouth too wide can lead to an increase in production of Saliva.

So try to keep your mouth so that it's not wide open.

Also swallow often and swallow any excess saliva while kissing.

Things you should not do while kissing are.

Chomping down on the lips.
Don't focus on the lips only.
Don't sneak a peak.
Don't make smacking sounds while kissing.
Don't drift off.
Don't go over the top while kissing.
Try to not produce too much saliva while kissing.
And don't lead the kissing with your tongue.

Before a kiss you should brush your teeth and wash your mouth out using mouthwash.

Also make sure your lips are not dry or cracked and also use breath mints or a piece of gum to keep your breath fresh and smelling good.

It does smell kissing as a kiss transmits smells as well as taste, sound and tactile signals which affect how you perceive each other.

You can also smell and taste each others breath when kissing.

Kissing is genetic and is encoded in our genes as a mating behavior.

The reason we kiss on the lips is to show love as kissing evolved as an act of love and survival which was passing chewed up food between parents and baby's mouths.

Kissing also stimulates salivary glands which in turn increases saliva production which lubricates the mouth and aids in swallowing.

The reason we kiss with the tongue is to up the level of sexual arousal as kissing on the tongue helps increase the amount of saliva produced and exchanged.

The more saliva that you swap during tongue kissing the more sexually aroused you get.

The reason people kiss with their eyes closed is to help them feel more relaxed and help them focus on the kissing.

Closing your eyes when kissing helps prevent distraction and the strain of focusing.

The closing of your eyes during kissing saves you from looking at a distracting blur or strain of trying to focus.

The average age for a first kiss is 15.

Although some teens or kids may have their first kiss before 15 but most teens have their first kiss by age 15.

Kissing is safe although if you or someone has a virus such as the cold, flu, Covid-19 etc or even herpes or cold sores then you should not kiss as the viruses and diseases can be spread through kissing.

However as long as you're healthy and have no viruses or the other person is healthy too then there's nothing wrong or unsafe about kissing.

You cannot be immune to cold sores.

Herpes which is what cold sores result from is highly contagious and everyone is at risk of infection.

Herpes and colds sores are also extremely common, infecting anywhere from more than 50% of people (in the case of HSV-1) to around 11% of people (in the case of HSV-2).

You can kiss someone with hsv1 although it's not recommended as you could potentially get the hsv1 from the person you kiss.

When you or someone has hsv1 you should avoid direct skin-to-skin contact during an outbreak.

This includes kissing and oral sex, since herpes can be spread through oral action, including rimming.

In general, it's best to wait for three to four days after the cold sore scab disappears before you kiss someone or engage in oral sex.

This is because the herpes virus can continue shedding in the late stages of a cold sore healing, even if there's no viral fluid present.

Once you contract HSV-1, you have the virus for life.

While you'll always be able to spread the virus, you're most contagious when you have an active cold sore.

Although HSV-1 isn't technically an STD, you can potentially catch the virus through sex. If you receive oral sex from a person with HSV-1, there's a risk that the virus could make its way into your body through their saliva. When you acquire HSV-1 through oral sex, it leads to genital herpes rather than cold sores.

Herpes simplex virus 1 and 2, also known by their taxonomical names Human alphaherpesvirus 1 and Human alphaherpesvirus 2, are two members of the human Herpesviridae family, a set of new viruses that produce viral infections in the majority of humans.

Both HSV-1 and HSV-2 are common and contagious.

Millions of people have herpes, and plenty of them are in relationships. F

or most couples, herpes isn't a huge deal. Try to go into the conversation with a calm, positive attitude.

Having herpes is simply a health issue it doesn't say anything about you as a person.

There is no cure for HSV1, but treatments are available that can shorten the length of an outbreak and make cold sores less painful.

To reduce the risk of an outbreak, always apply sunscreen and lip balm when outdoors, and avoid stress and other illnesses as much as possible.

A positive  hsv1 test means you have been infected with HSV recently or at some point in the past.

Tests can be done to help determine if you have a recent infection.

About 70% of adults have been infected by HSV-1 and have antibodies against the virus.
