You can put a dishwasher tablet in your toilet or toilet tank as they work great at dissolving hard water stains and so the dishwasher tablets are great for cleaning toilets.

You can simply drop a dishwasher tablet into your toilet tank and it will keep hard water stains away and keep your toilet bowl and toilet tank clean.

You can put Pine Sol in the toilet tank to keep the toilet tank clean and help keep the toilet tank and toilet bowl smelling fresh.

You can also use Pine Sol to clean the inside of the toilet tank or even clean the toilet bowl as well.

To get your toilet white again you can use some Coke or some vinegar and baking soda to naturally whiten the toilet bowl.

You can also use bleach to whiten a toilet bowl.

When you pour Coke down the toilet the phosphoric acid in the Coke eats away and dissolves hard water stains and leaves the toilet bowl shiny.

Vinegar and baking soda will whiten a toilet bowl.

To whiten a toilet bowl with vinegar and baking soda sprinkle some baking soda liberally onto the toilet bowl stains.

Next pour some vinegar onto the baking soda and use a toilet brush and scrub the stains to create a paste inside the toilet bowl.

Make sure to get the paste of baking soda all over the stain and toilet bowl.

Then allow the baking soda and vinegar mixture to sit for around 10 minutes.

Then flush the toilet and your toilet bowl should be whitened.

To clean a badly stained toilet pour some bleach into the toilet and scrub it around the toilet bowl.

Then allow the bleach to sit for 10 to 30 minutes and then scrub the stain in the toilet bowl again.

Then flush the toilet and repeat if necessary.

You can also use vinegar and baking soda to clean the badly stained toilet.

Simply pour 2 cups of vinegar directly onto the stains and then sprinkle a cup of baking soda onto the stain and then pour another cup of vinegar over the baking soda.

Allow it to sit for 10 minutes or so and then use a toilet brush to scrub the toilet.

You can put CLR in your toilet tank which will help prevent and remove stains and mineral buildup in the toilet bowl and toilet tank.

The pink on the toilet seat is caused by bacteria in the air that grows with the moisture in the bathroom and around the toilet.

You can use vinegar and baking soda to remove the pink color.

The pink color on the toilet seat is a bacteria called Serratia marcescens that is found naturally in the environment.

To get the yellow off your toilet seat make a paste of equal parts of bicarbonate of soda and distilled white vinegar.

Apply the paste to the toilet seat and allow it to sit for around 30 minutes.

Then scrub the stains and wipe the toilet seat with a cloth that is dipped in some clean and warm water.

You may have to repeat this process a few times depending on how badly yellowed the toilet seat is.

Toilet seats turn yellow due to hard water that splashes upwards onto the underside of the toilet seat and then as the water evaporates it leaves behind limescale also known as mineral deposits.

As that limescale builds up it leads to a yellow tinge that ends up damaging the surface of the toilet seat and causing it to yellow.

To clean a toilet bowl with wd40 spray the WD40 on the inside of the toilet bowl and wait for a few minutes.

Then use a regular toilet brush to brush the stain away.

A Magic Eraser can be used in the toilet bowl to clean the toilet.

You can also keep your toilet clean by placing a Magic Eraser inside your toilet bowl tank.

Bleach does not damage toilet bowls when diluted with water and then flushed away after cleaning.

However you should not ever add bleach to the toilet water tank as that could corrode things in the toilet and damage the rubber seals.

But scrubbing your toilet bowl with some bleach is perfectly fine and will not harm or damage your toilet bowl.

To get rid of brown limescale in your toilet simply use some baking soda and vinegar.

Add 1 to 2 cups of vinegar to your toilet bowl and then added some baking soda to the toilet bowl.

Swish the mixture together around the toilet bowl with your toilet brush for a couple of minutes and then allow it to sit for around 15 minutes.

Then scrub the stains away with a brush or pumice stone and the brown limescale should be gone.

The reason there's a red ring in your toilet bowl is because of bacteria.

Bacteria causes a red ring or even pink ring to appear in your toilet bowl and sometimes your bathtub, shower stall or sink.

You can use Borax and vinegar to get rid of the red or pink ring in your toilet bowl.

To get rid of the red ring in your toilet bowl simply pour ¼ cup of Borax evenly into your toilet, followed by 1 cup of vinegar.

Then simply allow the mixture to sit for approximately 25 minutes and then scrub it away with a toilet brush.

The red ring should then be gone.

A jet wash known as the shiffter or steam cleaning a toilet bowl is more hygienic than a toilet brush.

Steam cleaning or using a jet wash for the toilet cleans the toilet bowl without leaving germs around like a toilet brush would.

However a silicone toilet brush is more hygienic than a normal toilet brush.

A toilet bowl should be cleaned at least once a week.

It's a good idea to give your toilet bowl a good scrubbing at least once per week to keep it clean and prevent the spread of bacteria.

Public toilet bowls should ideally be cleaned and scrubbed daily.

If you have small children in the house then it's better to scrub your home toilet bowl daily or every few days.

Western toilets have 2 lids to reduce and prevent the spread of bacteria and keep the bathroom clean.

The 2 lid western toilets are also useful for keeping pets and babies out of toilets.

When flushing any toilet with a lid you should close the lid before flushing the toilet to prevent the spread of fecal matter and bacteria.

The reason public toilets do not have lids is because they are not necessary and they are costly to replace and would need to be replaced more often in a public restroom.

Hinges of toilet lids in public restrooms would get too much use and break more often so they don't have lids on the public toilets.

The gap at the front of public toilet seats is to make it easier for women to wipe after peeing.

The reason public toilet seats have a gap at the front is to allow women to wipe their perineal area after they use the toilet without contacting the seat.

Basically the gap in the toilet seats is there as required by code and is there to help people clean up better after using the toilet.

The capital city that has the most public toilets is Madison Wisconsin.

Madison, WI, is the US city with the most toilets per 100k.

The country with the highest density of public bathrooms is Iceland: 56 toilets per 100,000 population.

Wakefield is the UK city with the most restrooms per 100,000 people (35) and per 100km2 (130).

Berkshire, Merseyside, and Greater Manchester are tied as the counties with the fewest toilets per 100k population (three).

Madison, WI, is the US city with the most toilets per 100k (35).

Mississippi and Louisiana each have just one restroom per 100k population, the worst-served states in America.

Madison, the capital city of Wisconsin, lies west of Milwaukee. It’s known for the domed Wisconsin State Capitol, which sits on an isthmus between lakes Mendota and Monona.

The Wisconsin Historical Museum documents the state’s immigrant and farming history.
