Male sperm takes 74 days to fully mature although your body is producing millions of new sperm everyday.

A male produces several million sperm per day and on average of 1,500 new sperm per second.

Sperm is made pretty fast in the male body and you make around 1,500 new sperm per second or around several million new sperm each day.

Your body is constantly producing new sperm every second of the day.

If you hold your sperm too long then nothing will happen and you won't be harmed.

There's nothing harmful about holding your sperm too long and the sperm does not build up in the body and instead it reabsorbs the sperm that does not leave your body through ejaculation.

The signs of low sperm count in a man are reduced sexual function, low sex drive, difficulty maintaining an erection, pain and swelling or a lump in your testicle area.

Also decreased body hair or facial air and other signs of a hormone or chromosome abnormality can also be a sign of a low sperm count in a man.

There's no age that sperm production stops completely although men do stop producing as much sperm as they age.

The age at which a mans sperm production slows down is age 35 and beyond but men always produce sperm their entire lives but they just produce less sperm as they age.

Healthy sperm should be a whitish gray color or whitish color.

Healthy sperm or semen should normally be a cloudy white color with a jelly like consistency that is similar to raw eggs.

However slight changes in sperm texture, color and even smell may be normal or in some cases it may be a sign of an issue with your sperm.

An andrology test is a test that is done for semen analysis, sperm penetration assay, and an anti-sperm antibody test.

Basic andrological diagnosis consists of taking the patient's medical history and the couple's history as well as performing a physical examination including genital ultrasound, spermiogram, and hormonal analysis.

If needed, a testicular biopsy and genetic testing may also be performed.

In the andrology lab, they analyze the male aspect/semen against normal parameters to determine sperm viability.

Certain techniques, such as IVF sperm preparations, allow for sperm purification and focuses on improving male infertility.

A sperm test or andrology test can help determine if a problem in sperm production or quality of the sperm is causing infertility.

About half of couples unable to have children have a male infertility problem.

The test may also be used after a vasectomy to make sure there are no sperm in the semen.

This can confirm the success of the vasectomy.

First, doctors will request a semen analysis – a test to look at your sperm.

You ejaculate into a cup, and your sperm will be analyzed under a microscope.

To get the best results, do not ejaculate for two to five days before your visit.

Results for at-home tests are usually available within 10 minutes.

A normal sperm count (above 20 million sperm per milliliter of semen) from a home test doesn't necessarily mean that a man is fertile, since it doesn't consider all the possible causes of male infertility.

Urology is associated with diseases of the reproductive tract and urinary problems.

On the other hand, andrology is related to all the issues concerning the health and well-being of men.
