When you go into your closet and pray God sees your prayer as secret to him.
So when you go into your closet to pray you're praying in secret.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
It is to enter an urban streetscape in which you habitually gaze at strangers and speculate on their feelings and desires: to practice a form of prayer that is not entirely different from cruising.
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.
Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
Having a dedicated place to pray such as a prayer closet can help you eliminate stress, and you can set yourself apart from everything else around you.
Creating a separate place to pray and spend time with God is imperative if you desire to build a stronger relationship with Him.
