I really hate to ask anyone this question.

Ever since I learned in 2016 about Childhood Cancer in September, I never pay attention to TV commercials or even stuff that WWE was doing to support it which I sadly never put 2 and 2 together. For someone that watched WWF/WWE since I was 4 yrs old, my Nan (Grandmother) had me watch it cause at the time my speech wasn't at par plus I have Cerebral Palsy and a host of other problems.  Now in that month I fully support that cause. I do follow Childhood Parents on my Instagram account.

Now with that's being said, I seen a lot of children wearing diapers in the hospital bed, not hospital cribs. Some 6-15, now someone explained to me that there's kids will wear pull-ups/diapers because the medicine can causes bedwetting. Which is highly possible. They know more then I will ever know

My question is for doctors and nurses that works at a Children's hospital,  do parents have the last words about the kids wearing diapers or does the doctors and nurses do?

(My question is for doctors and nurses that works at a Children's hospital,  do parents have the last words about the kids wearing diapers or does the doctors and nurses do?)

For the diapers on the kids the parents have a say in whether or not they want the child to wear the diaper or pull  up.

However if the kid is wetting their pants or clothes or having bed wetting issues whether from the medicines side effects or just because they wet the bed then the kid will need to wear a diaper or pull up or even use a catheter.

The catheter is the other option for kids who are wetting their pants and need to be in bed other than the diaper or pull up.

I would say most kids would rather use a diaper or pull up if they can't make it to the toilet after they've had a catheter inserted.

I worked as a nurses aide in a hospital in the children's ward and for kids who had bed wetting issues we had diapers or pull ups.

Some kids were so sick that they would need a diaper on as they could not make it to the toilet.

For younger kids who could fit into them we used pampers size 6 or whatever pampers size they would fit.

For larger kids we would use Youth diapers.

The pull ups tended to leak so the hospital used mostly diapers.

We would discuss with the parents and the parents would be okay with it of course.

The parents could bring their own diapers or we would use pampers or other Youth diapers on the kids.

I was in charge of changing some of the older kids diapers and it never bothered me.

Hi Rebecca, thank you for answering my question for this. I always thought it was the doctors that decided but now I know that the Parents talk to the doctors.
