Is it better to pop a blister or leave it?

When you have a blister on your skin is it better to pop it or just leave it and let it go away on it's own?

If the blister is not very large or painful then it's best to just leave the blister alone and let it go away on it's own.

Only pop the blister if it's very large or painful.
