You cannot trade in a cracked iPhone through Apple as iPhone's with cracked screens have no trade in value.

However you can sell your cracked iPhone or trade it in through another service.

Even with cracked or broken screens iPhones still have quite a bit of value to other places you can sell or trade them through.

AppleCare+ gives you expert technical support and hardware coverage from Apple, including accidental damage protection.

Each incident of accidental damage is subject to a service fee or deductible, depending on your plan.

Apple products do have insurance known as a warranty although the warranty coverage can vary from product to product.

Most Apple products come with a 90 day warranty.

You can get AppleCare within 60 days after purchase.

You cannot extend AppleCare after 3 years as AppleCare only covers you for up to 3 years.

However Apple allows you to extend your AppleCare+ coverage for Mac indefinitely, in one-year increments, after your initial three years of coverage have expired.

If you choose to extend your coverage, you'll automatically be billed annually for additional one-year extensions.
