Let's say a child 6-13 yrs old and only is bladder incontinent or has been proven to be lazy according to the child's doctor to pause a game or pause a movie, didn't want to stop playing with friends, he's now placed back in diapers.

I think what I'm actually saying is how long would it take for a 6-13 yr old to be completely incontinent?

Looking forward to seeing your answers

If a child were put back in diapers and continued to pee in the diaper without thinking about it then the child would likely lose bladder control and become incontinent within a year or 2 years.

After 1 to 2 years of wearing and using diapers instead of the toilet the child would most likely lose bladder control where they would have to retrain their bladder to hold in pee.

Just like when a child gets to potty training age they are having to train to hold the pee in as they are used to peeing in the diaper without thinking.

So it's normal for a child to have pee accidents in their pants and on the floor etc when they are potty training.

Because since they were born they were trained to use the diaper and that was all they knew.

The child went pee or poop without thinking about it and then they have to be trained to hold it and go to the toilet.

As for full incontinence a child would not be fully incontinent in the sense of being medically incontinent where it could not be reversed simply by wearing and using diapers.

However when you wear diapers and use them instead of a toilet you do lose control although you can regain that bladder control.

If the child was truly medically incontinent due to a medical issue then it could not usually be reversed.

Some children are born with defects that affect the child's bladder which makes them have no bladder controls so they have to wear diapers.
