Truck Battery Goes Dead if I don't unhook battery after driving?

My 1997 Ford F 150 Truck will drain my battery if I don't unhook it after driving.

The battery terminal sparks too when hooking up the battery?

Your Alternator could possibly be shorting out causing the battery to drain.
