For most health insurance companies the maximum age a child can be a dependent and stay on a parents health insurance is age 26.
After 26 the child of the parent cannot stay on the parents health insurance and has to get their own health insurance coverage.
I've also seen some health insurance policies that only allow a child to stay on their parents health insurance until they reach age 18 so it can vary between health insurance companies.
