If you don't have any cornstarch you can still make matte nail polish by mixing some baking powder or even fine flour in with the nail polish which will give you a nice matte finish from your nail polish.
A toothpick will work great for mixing the baking powder or fine flour into the nail polish to give you a matte nail polish finish.
