I have the flu and my eyes are burning and can't sleep?

I laid down and tried to sleep. An hour later I woke up because my eyes were burning.
Now I can't go back to sleep.

That's very normal to happen. Your flu temp is rising a bit to destroy the flue virus.
To soothe your eyes try putting a damp lukewarm rag over your eyes.
This should help cool down your eyes and allow you to sleep through the night.
