You can stand a baby up and hold them up around 2 to 3 months of age.

However the baby won't be able to stand up on his or her own yet.

Once the baby is around 10 to 11 months hold they can usually stand up on their own for a few minutes before they fall down without being held up by someone.

Around 13 months of age the baby can begin standing up on their own without much help or without any help.

Between the ages of  9 and 12 months, your baby will start pulling themselves up on anything the baby can grip, from the couch to your legs.

The baby has been preparing for this milestone for months now: As a newborn, they made early attempts at lifting their wobbly head.

From a very young age, your baby strengthens their muscles, slowly preparing to take their first steps.

Usually between 6 and 13 months, your baby will crawl.

Between 9 and 12 months, they'll pull themselves up.

Assisted Walking: Stand behind your child, place your hands around their upper arms, and pull them up to a standing position.

Gently pull one arm forward and then the other.

His or her feet will naturally follow as he rotates his hips to step.

Keep practicing walking until your baby is ready to stop.
