It’s possible that he doesn’t like the food in front of him and he is trying to hide the fact that he is not eating it.

I was a picky eater myself growing up. My sister claims that I used to do this, but my parents (now in their 70s) don’t remember that, so who knows…

Toddlers do weird things that not everyone can know why they do it for sure.

It's just the toddler being a toddler and when you have a toddler in the house or are around toddlers you're gonna see some weird things that will baffled everyone who is around them.

I remember babysitting a 2 year old boy a few years ago and he would put a sandwich down the back of his diaper.

I gave him a sandwich to eat while he was sitting on the floor and playing with his toy cars.

Then about a few minutes later I came back in the room to check on him after grabbing a sippy cup of juice for him and I saw him walking around bent over pushing a toy truck with the sandwich half eaten and sticking out of the back of his diaper.

I laughed so hard and asked him why he did that and he said he was saving the sandwich for later.

I took the sandwich out of his diaper and threw it away and said I would give him some more and a fresh sandwich when he was ready.

I've seen it happen with other things as well such as putting toys down diapers, pacifiers down diapers etc.

It's normal and just the toddler being weird and they will grow out of the phase.

I wish I would've took a picture of that sandwich down his diaper as that was cute.
