To stop your stomach from hurting at night use a hot water bottle, heating pad, take some pain medicine or NSAIDS, avoid eating near bedtime, sleep on your side and elevate your head.

Stomach aches typically last on average of 24 hours to 48 hours.

Although some stomach aches may go away within a few hours or so depending on the cause of the stomach ache.

If you have stomach pain or a stomach ache you should lie down and rest.

When you have stomach pain or a stomach ache the rest can help you recover and you may also want to apply a heating pad to your stomach to help ease the stomach pain.

When you have an upset stomach you should sleep at an incline and on your side.

If you feel like you're going to throw up, sleep on your side with your head elevated.

Sleeping on your side with your head raised can ease symptoms and keep you from choking on your vomit, if you're unable to make it to the bathroom in time.

Less serious causes of abdominal pain include constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, food allergies, lactose intolerance, food poisoning, and a stomach virus.

Other, more serious, causes include appendicitis, an abdominal aortic aneurysm, a bowel blockage, cancer, and gastroesophageal reflux.

When you have a stomach ache applying some heat such as with a hot water bottle, heating pad etc can help ease the stomach ache in 5 minutes or so.

Soaking in a hot bath can also help relieve a stomach ache as well as drinking some 7Up, taking some Pepto Bismol.

Drinking some Ginger Ale, Apple Cider vinegar etc can also help with a stomach ache.

Applying a heating pad, hot water bottle, hot towel, or heat wrap over the abdomen and back helps relax the muscles in the abdomen and relieve abdominal cramps and pain.

The temperature should ideally be 104° Fahrenheit.

Taking a hot bath with bubbles and essential oils or hot showers can also help.

To kill a stomach virus on surfaces bleach works well.

When the stomach virus is going around you should disinfect surfaces with bleach to prevent the stomach virus from spreading and wash your hands often as well.

There's no actual cure that you can take to kill off a stomach virus.

However staying hydrated, taking some flu medicine, taking some Pepto Bismol and drinking some 7Up etc can help get rid of the stomach virus.

Liquids that are good for stomach flu include water, clear broth, chicken broth, juice, tea, ginger ale, apple cider, 7Up and even clear sodas.
