Do parents ever miss the days when their children were in diapers?

How old are your kids? I have no kids, I have C.P. plus I'm diaper dependent and 42 yrs old.

Although most parents are read to get their kid out of diapers, some parents do eventually look back and do miss the days when their children were in diapers.

My mom actually said that to me.

She was looking at baby pics of me and she mentioned that she misses the days I was little and even though she hated diapers at the time she misses the days that I was in diapers.

She missed changing diapers and wish she could have another baby to have to change diapers again on.

She has changed a friends babies diaper and she said it was the best thing she has done in quite awhile and she said until that day she didn't think she missed laying a baby down and cleaning them up even when the diaper was poopy.

I just thought to myself well you do still have a little boy in diapers as I'm diapers all the time.

I didn't tell her that of course but I just thought it.

If I have kids however I'm gonna keep them in diapers and not potty train them.

I think diapers are better than the potty anyway and I wouldn't mind changing diapers no matter the age of the child.

I do miss changing diapers on my older kids.

I never thought I would miss changing diapers as with my first child I was so glad to be done with changing diapers.

However once they got older and started using the toilet I would think back on how it was not so bad and how cute they were wearing their diapers.

Even as toddlers they would be wearing diapers and then sometimes they would stand somewhere, bend over slightly and push a poop out.

The face that my son would make when he was pooping his diaper was so cute.

I miss that and I didn't mind actually changing his diapers.

I wish I could shrink my son back down to his toddler age and have him in diapers again and see that cute poop face again.

They are so cute when they are in diapers and changing diapers can be fun and a bonding experience with the child.

Although sometimes diaper tantrums can happen I actually still miss the days of tantrums during diaper changes and tantrums from my toddlers at times as well.

I don’t have kids so I don’t know for sure how I would feel about this.

My mother tells me that I was cute when I was in diapers and that she would like to shrink me down so I could sit on her lap, etc.

She told me in the last few weeks or so in a phone conversation that she misses the diapers, but she does not miss the tantrums.

I was born in the mid 1970s, started training to a significant degree by the late 1970s and by the early 1980s the daytime diapers came off. Long story short, I took longer than normal to train due to complications from a premature birth and my mother still misses the diapers. I don’t know how common it is for a mother to miss diapers in this type of situation, though.
