Your bowels are never ever completely empty.

You can do things to empty your bowels although our bowels are never fully empty as we continue to produce poop and fecal matter which fills our bowels back up normally.

since stool is made up in large part of bacteria, fecal matter is continuously being formed.

In addition to bacteria, stool is made up of liquid, undigested food, dietary fiber, fat, minerals, and protein.

Rectal tenesmus, or tenesmus, is a feeling of being unable to empty the large bowel, even if there is no remaining stool to expel.

Several medical conditions can cause tenesmus.

These include inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), colorectal cancer, and disorders that affect how the muscles move food through the gut.

Some ways to empty your bowels include.

Drink up to 8 glasses of fluid per day e.g. water, milk, soups and juices.
Limit caffeine drinks to 2 per day.
Eat food high in soluble fiber (pasta, rice, vegetables and fruit).
Limit foods high in insoluble fiber (bran and muesli).

It is considered normal to empty your bowel between three times a day and three times per week.

A bowel movement should be easy to pass.

To occasionally experience some degree of urgency, straining or incomplete emptying is acceptable.

When your bowels are empty your poop should be clear, yellow, light and liquid.

The presence of dark particles or thick brown or black poop means that you are not ready for colonoscopy.

If your poop is not clear after taking your entire bowel prep agent, you may need additional prep agent.

You don't need to poop every day to be regular.

It's normal and healthy to have a bowel movement anywhere between three times a week to three times a day.

 If you're producing soft, well-formed logs that aren't hard to push out, your bowels are probably in good shape.

You can also empty your bowels by drinking a glass of lemon juice or some lemon juice added to some water.

Emptying your bowels easily is an important part of good bowel health and can help keep the muscles that control your bowels active and strong.

The bowels are never completely empty although they do stay somewhat empty as you poop.

But your bowels are always filling up with more poop and waste through the day.
