It is safe for kids to wear diapers all the time.

There's no harm in a baby, toddler or child wearing diapers all the time as long as they are kept clean and the diaper is changed often enough.

It can be harmful if you leave the child or baby or toddler in a dirty or wet diaper too long without changing but usually they will get a diaper rash first.

Although girls can get a urinary tract infection from sitting in a poopy diaper or wet diaper too long.

With cloth diapers they need to be changed more often than disposable diapers as the wetness sits against the child's skin.

So if your child is wearing cloth diapers they should be changed into a fresh clean diaper more often than they would need to be if they were in disposable diapers.

With disposable diapers your child can wear them a bit longer without feeling wet.

Since disposable diapers use a gel to soak up and hold the pee away from the skin the child won't feel wet until the diaper is near the point of leaking.

With disposable diapers a child usually needs changed every few hours and sometimes can go as long as 4 hours between diaper changes.

With cloth diapers they usually need changed every 1 hour to 2 hours.

It's also a good idea even with disposable diapers to wipe the diaper area every diaper change even with just pee.

And also allow the child to have some diaper free time for 20 to 30 minutes at a time to allow the skin to air out.

And it's a good idea to apply some Vaseline, Petroleum Jelly or diaper rash cream to the child's skin where the diaper is to help keep moisture off the skin and prevent diaper rash.
