If you're peeing on yourself then you may have overactive bladder, a weak bladder, urinary incontinence or a bladder infection.

If you're suddenly peeing on yourself then you should see a doctor about it.

However you can also stop peeing on yourself by wearing incontinence pads, adult diapers, pull ups etc.

The diapers, incontinence pads or pull ups can help to keep your clothes dry and your furniture and bedding dry while you seek medical attention.

Your doctor can prescribe you some pills to help with the slowing down of urine production.

You can also help strengthen your bladder by doing Kegel exercises and pelvic floor exercises.

Other things that can help you stop peeing on yourself include.

lifestyle changes such as losing weight and cutting down on caffeine and alcohol.

Pelvic floor exercises, where you strengthen your pelvic floor muscles by squeezing them.

Bladder training, where you learn ways to wait longer between needing to urinate and passing urine.

If your bladder does not empty completely the urine may just come out later.

However sometimes when the bladder doesn't empty completely it can cause the urine to build up and lead to pressure in the kidneys.

The pressure build up from the urine in the kidneys can lead to kidney failure, which can be dangerous and result in permanent damage to the kidneys.

Incomplete bladder emptying is often neurologic in nature, as in patients who have had spinal cord injury, pelvic surgery or trauma, or herniated disc; it can also result from an infectious cause, presenting as a neurologic sequela of AIDS, Lyme disease, herpes zoster, or neurosyphilis.

It is bad to hold your pee if you hold it for too long.

Holding your pee won't kill you unless it gets to the point of kidney failure.

You can cause kidney failure and kidney disease as well as bladder infections and Urinary Tract Infections from holding in your pee.

You should never hold in your pee any longer than you have too and if you have to pee you should go as soon as you can.

Holding your pee in for 10 to 20 minutes every once in awhile is likely to not cause any harm but if you continue holding in your pee too long and too often then it could lead to bladder infections, kidney infections, kidney disease and even sometimes kidney failure.

You cannot die directly from holding in your pee. But holding in your pee can cause health problems such as bladder infection, Urinary Tract Infections, and Kidney disease which could kill you if not treated.

The kidney disease is what would ultimately kill you if you do develop kidney disease from holding in your urine.

You should always avoid holding in your pee for too long because it can cause health problems.

Always get to a toilet as soon as possible to relieve yourself.

Signs of kidney failure include.

Decreased urine output, although occasionally urine output remains normal.
Fluid retention, causing swelling in your legs, ankles or feet.
Shortness of breath.
Fatigue.
Confusion.
Nausea.
Weakness.
Irregular heartbeat.
