It is generally safe to leave your travel trailer on BLM camp land unattended as long as it's not too long.

I personally would not leave my travel trailer on BLM camp land unattended longer than a few days as you never know if someone may go out there and break into it or possibly steal it.

Some people will leave their travel trailer on BLM camp land while they go out sight seeing or shopping and then return to the travel trailer the same day.

Just be sure to use a ball lock, put anything valuable away and lock the doors of the travel trailer and you should be okay.

If you have solar panels that sit on the ground it would be best to put those away or on the roof of the travel trailer.

And of course if you have a portable generator either lock it to the travel trailer or take it with you if possible.

People will easily steal a generator more than anything else.

I've also left my travel trailer on other free campgrounds while I went into town to get gasoline, shopping for food or when I went back home to get something had forgotten.

As long as you don't leave the travel trailer on the campground land for longer than you're allowed then it should be okay.

Free campsites usually have a time limit that you're allowed to stay and if you leave your travel trailer or motorhome etc on the land for longer than the time limit then it will be towed at your expense.

Usually the time limit is 14 days and then you must move at least 5 to 10 miles away and stay away for a week or two weeks before returning.
