How do you get a screw to stay on a screwdriver?

To get a screw to stay on a screwdriver you can magnetize the screwdriver or even buy a magnetic screwdriver.

Or you can wrap some wire around the metal of the screwdriver and then use a battery to make the screwdriver into an electromagnetic screwdriver.

You can use a transformer such as a microwave transformer to electrically magnetize a screwdriver.

Or you can also wrap some copper wire around the screwdriver and use a battery to create an electromagnetic screwdriver.

When power is supplied to the wire the screwdriver becomes electrically magnetized and then when power is cut off the screwdriver is no longer magnetized.

To make tools magnetic you can rub the tool such as a screwdriver or socket against a magnet which will then make the tools magnetic.

You can also use a transformer such as a microwave transformer to make tools and metal magnetic.

To make a screwdriver magnetized you can take the screwdriver and rub it against a magnet back and forth several times which can then create magnetism in the screwdriver.

You can also magnetize a socket by rubbing the socket against a magnet.

Place the magnet at one end of the piece of metal socket.

The magnet must make as much contact with the metal as possible.

Place light pressure on the magnet and rub the metal in one direction only.

Magnetization will take some time to accomplish so continue rubbing until the iron or steel attracts other pieces of metal.

When you rub a piece of iron along a magnet, the north-seeking poles of the atoms in the iron line up in the same direction.

The force generated by the aligned atoms creates a magnetic field.

The piece of iron has become a magnet.

You can also magnetize metal by hitting it but it may break the socket.

With the metal securely in place, strike the bottom end (end facing south) of the piece with the hammer.

Striking the metal allows the iron atoms to move around and align themselves in the direction of the Earth's magnetic field.

An iron or steel nail can be made into a magnet by stroking it repeatedly (at least 20 times) with a magnet in one direction only.

Stroking in an anticlockwise direction with the North pole touching the head of the iron nail will make the head of the nail the North pole and its tip the South pole.
