Fluoxetine does sometimes cause weight gain.
Fluoxetine is also known as Nuzak and also Prozac.
For some people who take an SSRI such as Prozac (fluoxetine) or Zoloft (sertraline), one of these possible side effects is weight gain.
You can take Nuzak at night or any other time during the day although it should be taken at the same time everyday or every night.
Nuzac 20 MG Capsule can be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor.
Take it at the same time every day for the ease of remembering.

Nuzak is a medication that is used for the treatment of symptoms of depression, obsessive compulsive disorders and bulimia nervosa.

As with any such drug, though, it is wise not to stop suddenly and abruptly, but to stop gradually where this is practical.
If you are taking simply 20 mg a day, you're already taking only a low amount of the drug, and could perhaps move to taking 20 mg every alternate day for a week and then stop.
Nuzak is a generic version of the antidepressant Fluoxetine, and you're right, usually one of it's side-effects, especially in the early weeks of taking it, tends to be mild nausea and loss of appetite.
Do not use fluoxetine with buspirone (Buspar®), fentanyl (Abstral®, Duragesic®), lithium (Eskalith®, Lithobid®), tryptophan, St. John's wort, amphetamines, or some pain or migraine medicines (eg, rizatriptan, sumatriptan, tramadol, Frova®, Imitrex®, Maxalt®, Relpax®, Ultram®, Zomig®).
Adults—At first, 20 milligrams (mg) once a day in the morning.
Your doctor may adjust your dose as needed. If you are taking more than 20 mg per day, you may take the capsule once a day in the morning or 2 times a day (eg, morning and noon).
However, the dose is usually not more than 80 mg per day.
