If you have Ingots that you want to get rid of you can give away the ingots to the scrap yards.

The scrap yard will most likely take the scrap metal ingots off your hands for free.

However most scrap yards will not buy the ingots from an individual as they have no real way of knowing if it's pure metal or not.

Someone could've put rocks or something in with the ingots they are trying to sell to them.

So that would be a reason why most scrap yards will be reluctant to purchase ingots from an individual.

But if you're just wanting to get rid of the ingots then the scrap yard will likely take them for free.

An ingot is a piece of relatively pure material, usually metal, that is cast into a shape suitable for further processing. In steelmaking, it is the first step among semi-finished casting products.

Metal ingots are a mass of metal cast into a size and shape such as a bar, plate, or sheet convenient to store, transport, and work into a semifinished or finished product; it also refers to a mold in which metal is so cast.

Melting down scrap metal into ingots for yourself is rarely profitable unless you have a big factory and are melting down tons and tons of metals.

Metal ingots are also best sold to a metal foundry but you need lots of them for them to buy them.
