Is it normal to cough up blood with a cold?

I have a cold and I've been coughing non stop for 3 days now and today I started noticing some blood in my mucus when I cough?

The blood doesn't happen all the time but only once in awhile will blood come up in my mucus when I cough.

Having a little bit of blood in your mucus when you cough during a cold virus is very normal and nothing to be worried about.

If you're coughing up a whole lot of blood then that's a concern but coughing up or spitting up a little bit of blood during a cold virus is normal.
