The survival rate of a brain aneurysm is around 65 to 75 percent.

Around 75% of people with a ruptured brain aneurysm survive longer than 24 hours.

A quarter of the survivors, though, may have life-ending complications within six months.

Call 911 or go to an emergency room if you think you are having symptoms of a brain aneurysm or ruptured aneurysm.

Stress can cause an aneurysm as stress can lead to high blood pressure and that high blood pressure from the stress can lead to the brain aneurysm.

Stress, high blood pressure, infections and weakness in your artery walls can trigger an aneurysm.

After an aneurysm most people will feel like they've been hit on the head with a hammer and may have a chronic severe headache.

Other symptoms of a ruptured brain aneurysm also tend to come on suddenly and may include: feeling or being sick. a stiff neck or neck pain.

An aneurysm can make you sleepy especially if the aneurysm is a larger aneurysm.

Large aneurysms can cause dizziness, loss of concentration, neck pain, fatigue, numbness, headaches, and blurred or double vision.

Aneurysms are typically slow growing in the beginning but as they get larger the aneurysm tends to grow faster.

Most aneurysms grow slowly at a rate of about 3mm (1/8th inch) per year but larger aneurysms can grow more quickly.

An aneurysm should be treated when it gets to 1.1 to 2 inches or if the aneurysm is growing larger and growing fast.

Aneurysms can be cured and fixed without surgery through catheter treatment also known as endovascular coiling.

An unruptured aneurysm should be treated before it gets to the point of rupturing.

If an aneurysm ruptures it can cause bleeding internally of your brain and lead to death.

A 5mm aneurysm can in rare cases rupture but it's usually when it grows larger than 5 mm that the aneurysm ruptures.

An aneurysm that is 11 to 25 millimeters in size is considered to be a big aneurysm and any larger than that is considered a Giant aneurysm.

When an aneurysm is 5.5 centimeters in size or larger the aneurysm requires surgery to repair it.

If the aneurysm is left to grow larger then it can rupture and kill you.

After aneurysm surgery you'll need to stay in the hospital for 4 to 6 days.

An aneurysm is fixed either through surgery or through clipping depending on how bad the aneurysm is.

More severe aneurysms require surgery to correct and fix the aneurysm before it bursts.

An aneurysm operation or aneurysm surgery takes between 2 to 4 hours from start to finish.

The aneurysm operation generally takes 3-5 hours or longer if a complex craniotomy is planned.

You will lie on the operating table and be given general anesthesia.

After you are asleep, your head is placed in a three-pin skull fixation device, which attaches to the table and holds your head in position during surgery.

An aneurysm that is 5 mm in size is considered serious enough to need surgical treatment.

The rupture risk is known to increase with the increasing size of an aneurysm.

However, it is a quite important fact that a large number of patients have subarachnoid hemorrhages (SAH) as a result of the rupture of aneurysms with diameters <5 mm.

The size of aneurysm that should be treated are aneurysms 7mm in size.

Although some aneurysms as small as 3mm may also need treated through surgery as well.

Some types of aneurysms can and do go away on their own although most aneurysms don't go away without surgery to stop the brain aneurysm from rupturing.

Brain aneurysms are considered serious and can be life threatening if surgery is not performed in time to stop the brain aneurysm from getting worse.

A brain aneurysm is considered a disease but it's more of a condition.

Brain aneurysms are a type of condition that causes a weakness in a blood vessel in the brain that balloons and fills with blood.

Brain aneurysms are caused by a weakness in the walls of blood vessels in the brain.

There are several reasons why this may happen, although an exact cause isn't always clear.

The brain requires a large supply of blood delivered via 4 main blood vessels that run up the neck and into the brain.

Some people can feel an aneurysm and some people have no warning signs of an aneurysm.

Some people do feel a brain aneurysm but not always.

The feeling of a brain aneurysm can feel like being hit on the head, resulting in a blinding pain unlike anything experienced before.

Other symptoms of a ruptured brain aneurysm also tend to come on suddenly and may include: feeling or being sick. a stiff neck or neck pain.

In some cases there may be warning signs of a brain aneurysm but not always.

People have had brain aneurysms without any warning signs.

A brain aneurysm is a weakness in a blood vessel in the brain that balloons and fills with blood.

Most intracranial aneurysms occur between the underside of the brain and the base of the skull.

The brain aneurysm can leak or rupture, causing life-threatening bleeding.

An unruptured aneurysm usually causes no symptoms.

A key symptom of a ruptured aneurysm is a sudden, severe headache.

Treatments for an unruptured aneurysm include medications to control blood pressure and procedures to prevent a future rupture.

Emergency medical care is needed for a ruptured aneurysm.

About 75% of people with a ruptured brain aneurysm survive longer than 24 hours.

A quarter of the survivors, though, may have life-ending complications within six months.

Call 911 or go to an emergency room if you think you are having symptoms of a brain aneurysm or ruptured aneurysm.

If the brain aneurysm is not yet ruptured then the warning signs that you might have a brain aneurysm are headache or pain behind or above the eye, which can be mild or severe and blurred or double vision.

If you think you have a brain aneurysm you need to get to the emergency room right away because if a brain aneurysm does rupture it can kill you pretty quickly.

Sometimes people get a brain aneurysm without any symptoms but most times the brain aneurysm will alert you through the above mentioned symptoms and if so seek medical attention before it ruptures.

People who have a brain aneurysm usually show no warning signs beforehand so it can come on suddenly and cause death if not treated soon enough.

However sometimes people may have some signs that show they may have a brain aneurysm such as headaches or pain behind or above the eye, which can be either mild or severe.

A brain scan will need to be done to detect whether someone has a brain aneurysm so if in doubt and you think you or someone may have a brain aneurysm you need to see a doctor as soon as possible.

When the brain aneurysm ruptures it can kill you so don't take it lightly.
