Absolutely not. We had a friend for the family one day, she was breastfeeding and starting to fall asleep and accidentally killing the baby. It was a accidental death.

You should not sleep with your baby if they are under 18 months old.

Sleeping a baby under 18 months old poses a risk of crushing the baby accidentally as babies are tiny and easy to roll over onto them.

The baby cannot get out of the way and the weight of your body accidentally rolling over onto the baby can crush them.

Although it's considered safe to sleep with your baby when they are over 12 months of age it's always best to wait until the baby is at least 18 months of age to allow your baby to sleep with you.

Until the baby turns 18 months of age the baby should be in a crib to keep them safe.

During the newborn age you can have the baby sleep in a bassinet next to your bed or close to you and then move them to a crib and still have the crib in your room.

My mom had my baby bed in her room where I stayed close to her so she could take care of me.

I did the same with my babies so they would be in the same room in their crib and I could easily attend to them at night without going into another room.

It's good to have the baby close to you so you can access them easily for diaper changes, feedings and to make sure they are okay through the night.
