I do hate pregnancy announcements.

Even when I got pregnant I never announced my pregnancy even to my parents until after the baby was born.

I waited until my baby was born and then a few days after the baby was born I then told my mom over the phone.

My parents live about 500 miles away and we only see each other in person around twice per year and sometimes once per year.

My mom loves pregnancy announcements and when you tell her about a baby being born or you being pregnant she tells everyone else around her and family.

I wanted to be alone at the hospital with just my husband when my baby was born and didn't want anyone else there besides the nurses.

I also wanted a bit of time at home alone with my baby.

Not everyone needs to know about your baby being born right away.

The baby and ourselves as parents deserve to be alone for a little while with our babies.

I didn't want my extended family to know about it either.

When someone around me announces their pregnancy I say okay whatever but I really don't care and I don't want to let anyone else know about my pregnancy.

I also hate it when I open a newspaper and they announce the pregnancy in the newspaper or announce the birth of a baby.

That stuff should be private and not announced to the world.

Think about what the baby would want.

I wouldn't want my birth being announced in the newspaper and I won't do it to my kids.
