Humans can survive without electricity as they have survived without electricity for thousands and millions of years.

The electricity we use today has not been around all that long.

Most homes did not get electricity until around 193's to 1940s.

So before then humans survived without electricity in their homes for many years and so it's possible to do without electricity.

The people who lived in town or cities had electricity in their homes around 1930's.

But if you lived in rural areas then the electricity may have not gotten to those homes until the 1940s.

Rural areas took longer to get electricity than cities and towns did.

Electricity is pretty new although it's been around for over 100 years.

But way before then homes were lit with candles and oil lamps and people used root cellars etc to keep food cold.
