The reason babies can't have strawberries is because the strawberries can pose a choking hazard to babies and toddlers.

Even when cut up in small pieces the strawberries can lead to choking in toddlers and babies so that's why babies and even toddlers should not be given strawberries.

That is unless you puree the strawberries and then the baby or toddler can have the pureed strawberries that way.

Once the toddler gets to 3 years old or above then they can have cut up strawberries or even whole strawberries.

But if the toddler is under 3 years old then it's best to not give the toddler any strawberries that are whole.

Just make sure to puree the strawberries first and then the toddler or baby can have the strawberries.

Toddlers and babies can easily choke on certain foods even when cut up.
