Breastfed babies are indeed more fussier than formula fed babies which is normal.

Breastfed babies do normally gain weight a bit slower than formula fed babies which is normal.

In breastfed babies this irritability is natural, and although formula-fed babies may appear more content and be easier to pacify, breast is still best.

Breastfed babies have a tiny head start in weight gain shortly after birth, but their overall weight gain in the first year is typically slower than formula-fed babies.
