Great Pyrenees dogs are very large dogs so if you get one as a puppy be prepared for a really large dog once it's fully grown.

Great Pyrenees dogs are fully grown by 2 years of age and they really grow rapidly when they are a puppy so within 2 years the puppy will grow a lot and just in 1 year the Great Pyrenees puppy can reach 100 lbs in weight.

Then when the Great Pyrenees puppy reaches 2 years of age the dog may gain another 40 lbs of weight and weigh 140 lbs.

The average lifespan of Great Pyrenees dogs is between 10 to 12 years.

Great Pyrenees dogs are large dogs and need a lot of room to exercise and so if you live in an apartment I would not advise you to get a Great Pyrenees dog.

Great Pyrenees dogs do make good house dogs and good family pets and can be very protective of their family when needed but they are also loving dogs.

The Great Pyrenees dog needs a lot of exercise and they also tend to shed a lot and sometimes more shedding happens in certain times of the year.

So be prepared to clean up a lot of fur but if you groom the Great Pyrenees dog often enough the fur shedding will be kept at bay at least some.

Also Great Pyrenees dogs require a lot of food so be prepared to spend a lot of money on dog food and more if you only had a smaller dog.
