When someone becomes a widow and there spouse dies the widow will sometimes continue to wear her wedding ring on her left hand on the wedding finger as she normally would do if her spouse was still alive.
The widow may continue to wear their wedding ring on their left hand and wedding finger until they date again which could be soon after or a few years after their spouse died.
Some widows will never marry again and may continue to wear their wedding ring on their normal wedding finger on their left hand and others may move the ring to her right hand.
Sometimes widows will also wear their spouses wedding ring on a necklace around their neck however some people get buried with their wedding rings on.
