Most schools are not paid for absences even if the absences are excused.

Schools are usually paid based on the students attendance and when students do not attend school the school does not get paid as much as they would have.

So by your child missing or skipping school the school loses out on at least $47.00 to $50.00 per day depending on the state.

But if your child really needs to miss school for a good reason then it's okay for them to do so even if the school is not getting paid.

The school doesn't need all that money anyway even though some people think they do.

I would actually rather pay directly to a private school for my child's attendance instead of public school because public school is not as great of an education.
