When your connecting rod in your vehicles engine is bad or going bad the most common symptom is a knocking noise coming from your engine.

The knocking noise from the engine may also get worse as the RPM's go up and when you accelerate.

If you notice a knocking noise coming from your engine after starting it up you should shut the engine down and get the problem fixed because the connecting rod damage can lead to more severe damage to your vehicles engine.

Usually you'll need a complete overhaul of your engine when your connecting rod is bad but sometimes you might get away with just replacing the connecting rod.

But if you have to go through all the trouble of tearing the engine down to replace the connecting rod you just as well rebuild the entire engine to like new.

You can buy engine rebuild kits for around $300.00 to $500.00 depending on the make and model of vehicle and rebuilding an engine is pretty easy if you can follow basic instructions.
