Aspirin works for me when I have a toothache, there's also a good toothache medicine you can buy at drugstores that you dab on the affected tooth and the pain will go away soon after applying the toothache pain med to the tooth.
Clove oil is also another known home remedy for getting rid of toothaches however I've never tried it yet.
