Matcha is a type of green tea which is made by taking young tea leaves and grinding them into making a bright green powder. This powder is later whisked with hot water to form a regular green tea, and all the non infused tea leaves are removed. This is a brewed green tea which has a very umami flavour allowing one to have the right drinks with some water. The matcha leaves are grown on green tea bushes which is kept under the shade that increases the amount of the chlorophyll in the leaves, which gives them the signature green tone. Traditionally, the leaves are grown to activate the catechin and antioxidants, which are proven to be good for the body. Check out here to know more about Matcha.
