Yes a dog that has Lyme disease can suddenly become aggressive without warning.

Other causes of a dog suddenly getting aggressive are rabies, brain tumors and thyroid disease.

If your dog is getting aggressive when they haven't been before then it would be a good idea to get your dog to the vet to get a diagnosis of any diseases the dog might have.
