The reason polysporin is bad is because of the 2 main ingredients which can cause allergic reactions in some people.

Two of the main ingredients, bacitracin zinc and gramicidin can cause skin reactions and allergic reactions in some people who have skin allergies.

However polysporin is not bad for everyone and is a wonderful product.

Polysporin is used to treat minor wounds (such as cuts, scrapes, burns) and to help prevent or treat mild skin infections.

Minor skin infections and wounds usually heal without treatment, but some minor skin wounds may heal faster when an antibiotic is applied to the affected area.

Polysporin can help chapped lips.

You can also apply some Vaseline or petroleum jelly to help add moisture to your lips and help heal and prevent chapped lips as well.

Polysporin does work good for chapped lips since it helps to seal moisture into your lips and protect them from drying out.

You can also use neosporin on chapped lips or even Blistex Lip Med which all work great at treating chapped lips and keeps them moisturized.

Another thing you can do to heal chapped lips and prevent chapped lips is to gently rub your lips with a homemade mixture of olive or coconut oil and sugar and wipe clean with a face washer or a splash of warm water.

That will help to exfoliate your lips and help seal moisture into your lips naturally.

Wearing lip balm regularly and doing the above will help with chapped and dry lips.
