If the puppy starts biting you can get a spray bottle and squirt the puppy or dog with plain water when they start to bite and tell them to not bite at the same time you spray the bottle of water in their face.
They will then learn that they'll get sprayed with that bottle of water if they bite and eventually will stop biting.
