What temperature should a wood stove be run at?

A good temperature to run a wood stove at is around 400 F. If your stove is run lower than 250 F you risk causing dangerous creosote buildup which could start a chimney fire.

250 F is the lowest you should let your wood stove burn at but 400 F to 500 F is best for keeping creosote build up at bay and to keep your house warm.
