Why does my dsl internet drop when the phone rings?

My dsl internet has suddenly started dropping and causing me to lose internet connection when the phone rings?

I have DSL filters on the phone line and this is the first time it has happened?

What could be causing the dsl internet to drop when my phone rings?

The most common cause of a DSL internet signal connection dropping when the phone rings would either be bad wiring to your phone or your DSL filter has gone bad.

I would replace the DSL signal filter on the phone line to the telephone and see if that solves the problem.

If the DSL signal still goes out when the phone rings you could have some bad wiring either inside the house or outside your house.

Wet wiring has also been known to cause an DSL internet signal to go out and cause people to lose their DSL internet connection when it rains.
