It took me 5 years of hard work in the beginning before I saw any good amount of money from my blog.
Now after 5 years of that hard work I'm almost at the point of making a complete living off my blog.
It depends on how hard you work and how much you add to your blog overtime. But expect to blog for 5 years before you start profiting from your blog or website and making a living.
If you work hard on your blog or website then eventually years later the money will start coming.
